Hi. I love the lesson. I have a question. Let's imagine such a conversation:
    A: Shall we meet tomorrow?
    B: Well.. I had an exam tomorrow..*thinking* So..yeah.. let's do that!
My question is: is it a clear message that this plan is cancelled for now so the person can meet? Or its always better to add "but it's cancelled so we can meet"?

English is not weird, weird is having a ringtone like this:
Buenas noches para todos. Yo creo que el hombre se complementa al hombre. Mujer con mujer, hombre con hombre y también mujer a hombre, del mismo modo en el sentido contrario. Estamos para darnos cariño, para darnos amor, y la mujer es el complemento del hombre en un sentido muy bello, porque le da amor, también le da el cariño. El mundo está evolucionando y cada vez le damos más amor a los hombres que en el caso colombiano alguna vez fueron machistas. 😂😂😂Lmao

It looked awkward at first but it made total sense in the context. We actually have this exactly same structure in portuguese, and problably in most of the latin languages.

    For example:

I had class tomorrow = Eu tinha aula amanhã

You just need to translate the words one by one, same order and same meaning

Maybe the right way to say it would be "teria" (like in "i would have class tomorrow), but it's much more formal and almost no one uses it

When I saw the title on this video it did not look weird to me, i was looking for the "error" because in portuguese we have a conjugation for it. Like in past sentence I had class tomorrow, in portuguese is weird to say "eu tive aula amanhã", which tive means Had. But we have a conjugation for that, instead of using "tive" we use "tinha", which is used exactly for changes of plans, so it is easier to us understand hehe 🇧🇷
