Love my early 2017 x360, but this model fixes the two things I don't like about it – power button/vent placement and fingerprint reader. If only they'd support Precision Touchpad drivers out of the box.

How many of you think last 7th generation was more sexy and elegant.?

My problems with the new design. Hp stick with something that works. Like xps.
    1. Chrome plated hinges on magnesium silver looks bad.
    2. Bottom instead of going with four round rubber pads they went with two ugly strips like xps.
3.The power button light is straight ugly and the biggest turnoff. Let laptops look elegant and less flashy.
4.Fingerprint on the right is straight against the design language and ugly.
5.Instead they should have finished the huge lower bezel and removed the chin completely. And went with 16:10 or 4:3.
    6. I own the last gen 7th gen and i would never upgrade. Comment below what u think.?

I'd really like one of these 2 in 1 touch screens but when I see and handle them in person they just look and feel cheap and tacky compared to macbook pros.

When would they stop with the garish gold as the only option in their higher specced versions. For many it is a valid reason to avoid it and wait for them to have a silver variant. But still no luck.

I've ordered the i7-8th gen, 16 gb, 512ssd, 4k display, pen included. But after learning more about the x360 I found out that the predecessor with 4k display had horrible battery life (6-8hrs). According to HP, the new model is supposed to have up-to 16hrs but i doubt it.
I mean as long as its gives between 10-12hrs I'm perfectly fine. Now i am confused whether i should exchange for the fhd model? Like i said anything between 10-12hrs -16 hrs would be great! (btw i just surf the web 7-10 tabs, Netflix, bunch of documents, YouTube and little editing.)

I heard from other review the pen input has a noticeable lag after writing and the screen freezes for a second or so? Is it still there?

I just bought this laptop last night at Best Buy, mine has the HD display no 4K. I watched a bunch of Youtube videos and a couple TV shows off of my Sling account with it. Was using it for about 3 hours and before I shut it down I took a look battery was at 87%. The laptop does not get hot. This is by far the nicest machine I have owned. Blows away my 3 year old Yoga 3.

just bought this laptop from bestbuy.ca and turns out HP sending review units with samsung PM961 NVME SSD but uses toshiba nvme ssd in retail units. The Toshiba nvme drive only has half the speed of Samsung. False advertising ??!!! Why would a mainstream company like HP would do something like that on their premium laptops ?

Fan noise? Some of i5 8550s have fans that run all the time which generates which is annoying in a quiet room.
