We are going to make tahini in this Krups
coffee grinder. We have sesame seeds. These are natural sesame seeds. Regular hulled sesame seeds will work better
and get a smoother tahini, but these are adequate. The reason for using the coffee grinder before
the food processor is because the coffee grinder will grind it fine. If you put it straight into the food processor
it won’t grind the seeds fine enough. And then you need to loosen all this. The blades are not sharp, so it’s not dangerous. And then I’ll do usually two loads in the
coffee grinder. This coffee grinder is good for lots of things
other than coffee. We use it for spices, for making popcorn salt;
you can check my other videos for all the things we do with our coffee grinder. We use olive oil, but you can use any kind
of oil you want. We have various settings: higher, higher. You can buy tahini at the store, but we like
to make hummus out of this. It works great. And if you buy your own sesame seeds in bulk
it is far cheaper than tahini, so we get them for maybe $1.50 per pound or $1 a pound, really
inexpensively. That’s why we make our own. Leave a comment below with your favorite thing
to do with your food processor, and tell me how you found my video. You can find the link below the video for

    That's a great food processor. I don't think I've seen one with a variable speed. I wish they all had that feature. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Laura would you please check if the bowl and blades from LA Machine 1 fit Models 2 or 5? It looks very similar in the videos. Thank you!

    I always unplug my coffee grinder before using my fingers to empty it.
