In this video, we will demonstrate the other methods to configure the dispatch preferences. Configuring dispatch preferences in SupportAssist Enterprise enables Dell EMC to automatically dispatch replacement parts for your Dell EMC servers and a service technician to you at the time of need. The dispatch availability and policy may vary based on your region or country. You can configure the dispatch preferences during the registration process or later. To learn about configuring dispatch preferences during registration, see the Register SupportAssist Enterprise video. Let’s see how to configure the dispatch preferences after you register SupportAssist Enterprise. To begin, log in to SupportAssist Enterprise and go to Settings and click Contact Information. To enable the parts dispatch preferences section, select I want to have replacement parts shipped automatically. Enter the primary and secondary contact details on the page and select I want a technician to replace my parts onsite to have a Dell EMC technician visit your site to replace the parts. Click Apply to save the preferences. If you have devices across different sites, you must create device groups for each site and configure dispatch preferences for each device group. You must also create device groups if you have different dispatch preferences for devices in the same site. Let’s now see how to create a device group and configure the part dispatch preferences for the group. To begin, go to Devices and click Manage Device Groups. Click Create Group. In the Create Device Group window, enter a name and description for the group and select Contact Information and enter the primary and secondary contact information. Click Next. Select Enter address for dispatch to enable the fields on the page. You can choose to receive only the replacement parts or have a Dell EMC technician visit your site to replace the parts.
