These laptops should just go full size dual screens and just prompt users to use an external keyboard. That'd be a productivity monster.

You knoww… Microsoft is up to something very strange. So they preview in 2019 a folding phone that runs Android that will be available in the 2020 holidays. 1 entire year from now. Why??? Why talk about it now? So it is gaining traction from the media house… Does Microsoft think that other companies are not watching? Or was it their intention to get them watching, create a widespread offering of foldable devices and then develop their platform? If platform development… Why the hell Android? Is their Android development platform making them so much money?

I'm not a fan. Sorry, but I'm not a Content Creator and so for me, having that second screen i s more of a hindrance than a help. I have two giant monitors at work and at home….more than enough real estate graphics wise to run my IDE's and do other things without feeling cramped. But I guess there are those who will find some use out of this.

You could always use a card reader to use SD cards so there's that for a SD card slot being useless. All the other stated cons are fairly trivial besides battery life as they can be solved easily. This is the essentially the most practical laptop as well as foldable screen/device application and is not gimmicky at all. Pretty great stuff to be honest.

Srsly, 8 hours of workload that you mentioned can be only achieved by a ultrabook or something like XPS15, Aero 15( You still need to be cautious and do some tweaking to achieve that)

I own this laptop. Something people should know, and which doesn't seem to get mentioned in reviews, is that the Screenpad+, the thing that you're paying all the extra money for, disconnects every time you close the lid of your laptop, or it otherwise goes into sleep mode. This results in all open windows and application panels being shuffled back to your main display, erasing any panel layouts for Adobe CS products or other software. You have to rearrange your displays *every time you re-open the lid of your laptop*. ASUS engineers have informed me that this is expected behavior and there is no plan to fix it. I wish I had known this before purchasing mine.

I know this sounds a little too ambitious, but why don't they make the chassis and the entire keyboard out of glass with mini LCD screens for each key? Maybe they can allow there to be an entire double screen embedded within a physical glass keyboard that goes away when it's not in use and has a sensor to allow the keyboard to appear every time it reads when the user is ready to type. I know it might cost a lot to produce but I'd be a for sure buyer. It'd be similar to the Asus Zenbook Pro duo but with a glass keyboard. That way there is still touch screen functionality above the keyboard, along with a fully seamless double screen.

It looks like the perfect machine but Weight and Battery Life are my top parameters so I will wait for version 2 or 3 as they refine it. In desktop mode I just use a separate screen if I need, the problem this is a laptop. Price is also steep at $3k But I remain tempted.

In other words if one was checking their bank account on line on the second screen only,  would the hacker not be able see that page that you had logged into?

I like it, a lot. But I would prefer not having the trackpad at all since I prefer using an external mouse. Plus, you won’t miss it that much when you’re on the go coz it’s touch screen.

Although, to be honest, I do sometimes find myself using the trackpad a lot more for quick selections than an external mouse but these are all the same things I’d probably then just start using the touchscreen for.

Got my Asus ZenBook Pro Duo (i9) at the Microsoft Store in Atlanta on Oct 5. I love this thing and can't stop using it! I thought the trackpad would be too small. It isn't! After 3 weeks of use, there's no question, all track pads should be at the right of the keyboard like this one. Did you get your own yet, MrMobile?

I brought it. Battery life is terrible, but at the same time, this laptop has a specific use case. If you are doing what Mr. Mobile was doing, using web-based apps for work for 8 hours, buy any other laptop on the market. I brought it to emulate networking equipment for work and study, and it does that well and more. It's as not as heavy as you think, and it does fit in a laptop bag well. Gaming is awesome!! not a big PC gamer, but I have Xbox game pass ultimate so I figured I download some games and test it out. Played Gears 5 on it, graphics are better than on my Xbox one S. Screenpad Plus is cool and I do use it for my work, and the keyboard is very, very good. I don't use the wrist rest. It was a small learning curve to get use to the position of the keyboard, but it's not terrible. When plugged in, the laptop is extremely fast when you are heavily using the CPU/GPU, but when it's on battery you will see noticeable slowness. I don't think this laptop was ever meant for you to use it without the charger because of the amount of power it draws. Other than that, this is a fantastic device and it's worth the purchase especially if you have a laptop or computing device for your day-to-day tasks, and you use this for work that needs power.
