today in the news that we got a leak
2:00 a.m. the user benchmark some pricing from Nvidia and a framerate
issue what’s up guys I’m snows and this is your boot sequence let’s get started
with AMD yesterday our favorite leaker Tum Apisak found at a user
benchmark with a 12 core Ryzen CPU if we look at the processor info on that
benchmark we can see in a m4 socket so we know it’s Ryzen 3000 12 cores
24 threads with a base clock of 3.4 gigahertz and eight 3.6 gigahertz
average in terms of boost clock now I already hear you yelling 3.6 gigahertz
boost you said it was going to be 4.6 well yeah but this is the average boost
clock in case you didn’t know both AMD and Intel dynamically boost the clock
speeds of each core to give us the best performance possible so one core might
be at 4.6 and the other one might be at base clock or even under in some
situation anyways that base clock at 3 point 4 gigahertz is also lower than
what we expected for a 12 core Ryzen CPU but this is an engineering sample so
there is a high likelihood that it is still in the optimization stage honestly
after the CES demo of their eight core chip
I was pretty worried that AMD would just sell us Ryzen 3000 at a maximum of 8
cores and white for the 4000 series to add the second chip –let I know Lisa
sue hinted at more chip –let’s by saying you might expect that we will
have more than 8 cores but it didn’t mean we would have it in this generation
I mean they kind of did that with Red River and their dummy dies on the chip
but by seeing this specific leak on user benchmark it makes me worry a whole lot
less about that heck I wouldn’t even mind if they kept a 16 cores q4 Ryzen
4000 and just delivered us a 12 core this year remember
the sample a courtship from AMD was shown matching the performance of
Intel’s best gaming chip while also using a lot less power so a 12 core chip
could be enough of an edge for AMD to destroy the market completely let’s just
hope that their game capabilities is as great as their
Cinebench score moving on I didn’t mention it last time because the
information came out after I added as the video but we have pricing on these
1660 Ti apparently it will match the RX 590 price at an MSRP of 280 bucks if
this does happen then AMD will be forced to lower the price of their
newest mid-range GPU since the price won’t really make any sense
according to hardOCP the card is supposed to be revealed soon for a
launch date of February 15th a slower model without the Ti is supposed to come
out in early March at 229 and what is presumably the successor for the 1050
the GTX 1650 will arrive in late March man that naming scheme really doesn’t
make any sense now it’s honestly pretty surprising to see that end video might
actually offer a pretty good bang for the buck at 280 bucks I’m not saying
that it’s actually worth it but considering the cards available on the
new market right now it beats out both the 590 and the 1060
and approaches gtx 1070 levels of performance at a pretty good price so if
you live in a place where they use the market is as messed up as it is in my
city this might be a great budget buy in gaming it looks like fortnight and pubg plagued with the same problem in fact this could be a problem based on any
shooter games made with the Unreal Engine basically the higher the frame
rate the higher the fire rates this means that if you have a lower fps
you’re going to deal less damage to your enemies realistically this isn’t that
big of an issue for casual gamers but it does give an advantage to let’s say PC
players who would be placed in a game with Nintendo switch consoles since that
console runs at 30 fps in this clip we can clearly see the difference between a
computer with frame limiting at 30 fps and with the framerate unlocked now some
say that this might be an issue in competitive play but personally I highly
doubt it players who are a highly competitive usually tend to have good
pcs at least it’s not as bad as the fallout 76 framerate issue that played
the game at release that that was an issue fortnight is aware of
problem and is planning a fix for it now I don’t know if Epic Games is planning
to fix this in the engine or if they’re just planning to fix it in fortnite
anyways that is pretty much it for the news guys hopefully you’ve enjoyed the
video make sure you drop a like down below it would be greatly appreciated
discuss the topics in the comment section down below you can click right
here to see the latest video right here to subscribe to the channel it would be
greatly appreciated stay frosty and I’ll see you guys on the next video by the
way if you’ve been playing super smash ultimate please let me know it is it
harder than it was on Wii U cuz it really seems like the new game is much
harder and I’m doing the world of light in in normal mode let me know down below
take care guys

I was always expecting a 12 core chip from zen 2. I thought it would be 6 cores per ccx but i was wrong

the fix is easy… lock the fps for PC at 30….. I'm joking !!!
I delayed my upgrade of my CPU (and other hardware) i5 4670K OC 4.2 GHz for waiting the Ryzen 3000 launch 😉

Smash ultimate is a lot faster paced than smash 4 was. There are also a lot of new characters and move sets, so it can be difficult to adjust to at first.

In PUBG, they found the issue was fire rate not matching a whole number in FPS, so it wasn't just about locking or changing FPS. ie if your gun fires 10 bullets per second, and your fps is at 30 fps, you will fire normally, but if you are at 31 fps your fire rate changes. this matters a ton with variable fps and changes the handling of guns.

3.4ghz base in a early version is not bad I guess, if the X version (3700X) can go to 5ghz in 2 cores (at least) like the i9900k would be amazing for gaming.

As tempted as I am to jump on the Ryzen 3000 train I don't expect we will get DDR5 until the Ryzen 4000 series so I am holding out for Zen 3.

I'll be honest, i don't care about 8-12 cores. I don't do AAA gaming or content creation, so those are useless to me. I'm more interested in the 6 cores and where they fall, Hoping they become the 3300 series and priced around $100-120.00. If not no big deal, i was already eyeing a 1st gen ryzen 6 core, was hoping for a slightly lower price by moving the SKU down a notch. Right now, anything would beat my current i5 2400, as far as upgrades go

Amd can deliver a 16 core 32 thread cpu for the mainstream, and imo, they should totally do it. Take as much market share as you can while you can, because intel its not gonna just sit and watch.

PS: projared is doing a series on SMBU World of Light playing it on the hardest difficulty if you care

    Give me that 3700X 12c 24t!!! i need ittttttttttt
EDIT: If 1660 series go with just 6gb vram for 280$ IT IS A SCAM!!! i would always take RX 590 with 8GB than 6gb.
We need to push 10GB gpu as High end standard. Even 8gb is getting low for todays graphics on some games.
2019+ 6gb needs to die fast. Only good thing is, they will force AMD to make NAVI 8gb lets say 269$ vs 1660 ti 279$. Lets pray

FPS to DPS isn't really exclusive to UE4. Not exactly the same but speed in GTA5 is also locked down by FPS. When you go in to your Rockstar statistics you will see max speed and it will be lower based on hardware and FPS but I don't know if it's something to do with the way servers clock you or if there is even anything they can do about it.

Lol FPS and hit issue is on the server side , not on the engine ……….. How can you imagine that hit rate registration is engine based ? if you don't know how it works you better stay out of this business.

The online shooter games played at different frame rates are anti competitive. High framerates are FAKE, games are unoptimized and high numbers only recover the frames lost due to frametime latency. A game like Fortnite (bad game) should put a frame wall if they have that problem with their game. Unreal Engine is overrated too. These games should use a 60 FPS wall. Oh i'm sorry FPS whores, but i don't care, gamers played all life at 30 fps no problem. If they can't make the game fair in all framerates then Everyone should play at the same framerate.

If ryzen 3 3300 or whatever its called has 6 cores and 12threads isnt this more than enough for games?or now that we have plenty 8 core cpus game developers will start to design games to use more than 4 cores?what i want to ask is will a 6 core be enough for the next 4 years or so or you think that we need 8 cores?if not then what is the point on buying a ryzen 5 if it has 8 cores or above if you will be fine with 6.(im talking just for games not other uses)

Good research and video. Extremely accurate. AdoreTV suspects these engineering samples will be able to hit 5GHz in production on some of the better binned cpus.

The only thing AMD can do better than Intel or Nvidia is lower their prices, but that's no small accomplishment when your competition are 800lb gorillas. AMD's Raven Ridge chips already pack a PS4 on a single 30 watt chip, and I can easily imagine them doubling that by 2020, while Intel is trying to see just how much graphics power they can squeeze on a 15 watt chip using their newest 3D interposers. At the rate they are going, within five years a two pound laptop will be capable of running Crysis in VR using integrated graphics.
